Vintage Studio Pottery Countryside Landscape Jug

A quiet countryside landscape held in clay. This beautiful studio pottery jug is wrapped in a soft, rolling countryside scene, each side featuring a solitary tree standing gently against warm, earthy tones. The surface is richly textured, the tree picked out in raised relief, giving it that lovely, tactile quality that feels almost like a small painting you can hold.

The glaze settles into sandy neutrals, mossy greens and soft ochres, reminiscent of late summer fields and winding paths. There’s such a calmness to it, the kind of piece that quietly anchors a space.

A lovely, weighty form with a softly shaped lip and comfortable handle, perfect for seasonal stems and wildflowers. 

A wonderful one-of-a-kind piece, signed to the base by the maker (unfortunately I haven’t been able to identity the signature)
