A beautiful vintage studio pottery mug by Frances Pollard of Dorset, with the softest creamy speckled glaze and delicate hand-painted seed heads, reminiscent of dried cow parsley gathered from the hedgerows at the end of summer.

I love the quiet, autumnal feel of this one, the warm earthy markings, visible throwing lines and softly irregular handmade shape give it so much character. Finished with a generous rounded handle and a lovely tactile weight in the hand.

Perfect for a favourite tea or coffee, and just as beautiful left out on open shelving. A wonderfully understated piece of vintage studio pottery with that gathered-from-nature feeling I always love.
