Vintage Studio Pottery Drip Glaze Pinched Bud Vase / Candle Holder

Such a gorgeous little piece of vintage studio pottery, with the most beautifully tactile hand-pinched shape that gives the body its wonderful softly faceted, organic form. Finished with deep inky blue drips and painterly markings over a warm brown and honey-toned glaze, every side is slightly different and full of character.

Its little rounded body and narrow neck make it perfect for a few tiny fresh or dried stems, but it’s also just the right size to hold a dinner candle. I love how much personality there is in such a small piece, the pinched sides, visible throwing lines and loose glaze all make it feel wonderfully handmade.

A really special little piece for a shelf, bedside table or cosy corner, whether filled with flowers or glowing by candlelight.
