A beautiful piece of British studio pottery, hand-thrown at Woburn Pottery by James Cresswell, who worked in the grounds of Woburn Abbey, Bedfordshire, from 1963 until his retirement in 2018. Each piece from this pottery carries with it over five decades of craft and tradition, making them highly collectable today.
This bowl features a softly fluted, scalloped rim and a delicate speckled glaze in pale grey with a rich brown edge, a timeless design that feels both rustic and refined. Its versatile form makes it perfect for everyday use or as a decorative accent: style it as a a trinket dish, or, as we’ve shown here, a simple yet striking holder for a pillar candle.
Stamped Woburn to the base.
