Vintage Handmade Studio Pottery Slipware Bluebells Jug

A one-of-a-kind, hand-painted treasure - this beautiful studio pottery jug is the kind of piece that immediately feels at home in a Hiraeth interior, warm, tactile, and full of quiet character. Crafted in creamy earthenware and finished in glossy slipware glazes, it’s decorated with the most charming painterly bluebells, sketched in loose strokes of cobalt and soft greens. Every brushmark reveals the hand of the maker, giving it that distinctly soulful, handmade feel we adore.

The gently flared rim, pulled handle, and sweet curled thumb rest add lovely sculptural details, while the soft washes of colour give it a romantic, woodland calm. It’s signed to the base by the potter, though the signature is unfortunately difficult to make out, adding a little mystery to its story.

Perfect styled simply with foraged stems, bluebells from the garden, or dried grasses on a rustic table or kitchen shelf. It also makes a wonderful utensil pot if you prefer to use it every day.
