Vintage ‘The Metropolitan’ Police Whistle with Handmade Ribbon

A beautifully simple vintage ‘The Metropolitan’ police whistle, made in England by J. Hudson & Co. the historic maker of the original Metropolitan Police whistle, first produced in Birmingham in 1883. Crafted from metal with a soft, timeworn sheen, this piece carries with it a tangible sense of history, once an essential tool of communication and authority, now a quiet symbol of craftsmanship and design.

It’s been paired with a handmade cream ribbon, soft and slightly crumpled, adding a gentle contrast to its utilitarian form. A wonderful object to hang from a peg rail, display in a curiosity cabinet, or repurpose as a unique keyring or charm. 

Condition: In really great condition worth only light signs of age relate wear, fully functional.
