A beautiful vintage studio pottery creamer by Ernest Bernard Jones, who worked in Beaford, North Devon from around the 1960s.
Thrown by hand with the loveliest three-tone glaze, moving from a deep inky charcoal at the neck through earthy olive-green to the exposed pale stoneware at the base. The softly flared rim and visible throwing lines give it such a lovely tactile feel.
Perfect as a little creamer or milk jug, but equally lovely used as a match pot or tiny vase for a few dried stems. A wonderfully understated piece of British studio pottery.
