Vintage Welsh Studio Pottery Clown Mug • One of a Kind

I really couldn’t resist this little face! An utterly charming vintage studio pottery mug that is unlike anything we’ve ever come across. Hand-thrown and bursting with personality, it features a joyful clown face complete with a shiny red nose, playful expression, and raised ceramic details that bring it to life in the most wonderfully quirky way.

Stamped “Welsh Pottery JR” on the base, this piece remains a bit of a mystery, we’ve not been able to trace the exact maker, which only adds to its one-of-a-kind charm. The glaze is warm and earthy with a rich, mottled brown rim and a softly speckled stoneware body, full of the kind of character and imperfection we love.
