A beautiful piece of Welsh studio pottery from Tregaron Pottery in Ceredigion, this charming stoneware preserve jar is hand-thrown and finished in warm earthy glazes with a rich charcoal lid. The hand-inscribed “Marmalêd” lettering celebrates its Welsh roots, making it as decorative as it is practical.
Wonderfully tactile with its rounded form, subtle speckled glaze and softly rustic finish, it would look perfectly at home on an open kitchen shelf, filled with marmalade, preserves.
Crafted during the 1960s–70s, it captures the honest craftsmanship and timeless character that made Welsh studio pottery of this era so enduringly loved.
A lovely and increasingly hard-to-find piece, full of warmth, history and everyday charm.
