A wonderfully characterful little midcentury Welsh studio pottery pig egg cup handmade by Begelly Pottery, the celebrated Pembrokeshire pottery studio known for its rich earthy glazes and traditional craftsmanship.

Finished in a speckled stoneware glaze with hand-shaped features and deep brown details, this charming little pig has such a playful folk-art feel to it, somewhere between functional pottery and tiny sculpture. Designed originally as an egg cup, though we also love it styled as a quirky little candle holder on a shelf or kitchen dresser.

Begelly Pottery was located in the small village of Begelly in Pembrokeshire, Wales, producing beautifully handmade domestic pottery with a distinctly rustic Welsh studio pottery aesthetic.
