A beautifully hand-thrown vintage slipware creamer jug from St Fagans Pottery, created in the grounds of the St Fagans National Museum of History - the heart of Welsh craft heritage.
This joyful little jug features a rich midnight cobalt glaze with creamy slip-trailed decoration in a playful, folk-art floral pattern. The warm terracotta base, clearly stamped ST. FAGANS, grounds the piece in its Welsh roots and gives that perfect contrast of earth and colour that makes slipware so beloved.
With its rounded form, generous handle and charming decoration, it’s a wonderfully versatile piece: use it as a small vase for garden stems, as a creamer for the breakfast table, or simply style it on an open shelf among your favourite pottery.
Slipware from St Fagans is always full of soul, shaped by hand, rooted in tradition, and made to be used and loved. This example is particularly sweet, with a glossy glaze and a cheerful, modern-folk feel.
