Vintage Wire Hen Egg House – Circa Late 1980s / Early 1990s

A rare and utterly charming vintage wire hen egg house, dating to the late ’80s or early ’90s. Made from painted coiled wire with sweetly stylised features and gently curved feathers, this piece has developed a beautiful natural patina and the perfect chippy paint. 

One side is missing the original painted wattle, but we think it only adds to her personality. Perfect for storing fresh eggs on the counter or simply as a display piece for lovers of rustic, country-style kitchens. A hard-to-find gem with just the right amount of timeworn charm. There is little latch that closes the basket, so just lift her head to access your fresh eggs!
